I too used to have a mesmer that I saw the game through with and it was by far and away the most fun I had.
The most satisfying time was when on the mission in the desert where you go into the little complex and have to kill those skeleton warrior types and then those lizard types within a certain time before they all get ressurrected. I was in a group who had obviously been trying this mission alot of times with no success. I joined them and they completed it on my mesmers first attempt with them. The comments that were made about, 'Wow, the mesmer is actually an awesome character. He's made this mission alot easier' and 'Nice work mesmer' etc made my day and I actually felt proud to be a mesmer.
Now I'm not saying it was down to the fact that I was in the group(they'd probably been trying the mission so many times that they knew it like the back of their hands)but I think that that day a few more players changed their opinions of the super cool mesmer character.

After finishing the game with the mesmer and three other chars I decided I wanted to get into PvP more so decided to delete two of my PvE chars. The probably back then was that too many people in PvE going farming in UW/FoW seemed not to understand the beauty of the mesmer and so therefore it became agonisingly difficult to get into a group so I decided to delete him. You know what? It's the biggest mistake I've ever made in this game!

As for PvP, all I play is a mesmer interupter or energy denier and I always play as a female one as they are by far the sexiest chars in the game

I must admit though that the mesmer does run the elementalist very close in the gayest dance competion, lol.

I did that mission. Same situation only thing that made it easy was my mesmer. As for UW farming. Good luck killing bosses in the HoH without a mesmer.

NinjaKai, we must be thinking of a different UW.. the one I was thinking off is the one you pay to get to.. and doesn't have any bossess. However, if you're planning on clearing it, a mesmer becomes very useful.
